The Opportunity

Reporting to the CEO, the Head of Academics is the “face” of education both internally and externally, as well as be a dynamic presence on the executive leadership team.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Classroom Experience: Lead all aspects of the holistic classroom experience including lesson plans, room set-up, parent communications, and integration of learning, in close collaboration with operations leadership
  • Teacher Professional Development: In collaboration with the training team, develop, implement, and measure the effectiveness of training initiatives that support the ability of teachers to deliver curriculum more effectively and improve the classroom experience
  • Assessment and Evaluation: Establish systems for assessing student progress and program effectiveness, utilizing data-driven insights to inform instructional decision-making and program improvements to ensure industry leading outcomes
  • Continual Curriculum Improvement: Oversee the design, review, and enhancement of curriculum frameworks, ensuring alignment with best practices, early learning state standards, and emerging research in the field of early childhood education
  • Community Engagement: Foster collaborative partnerships with families, community organizations, and educational stakeholders to support the holistic development of young children and promote family involvement in education
  • Community of Educators: Bringing the leaders of education and curriculum together to ensure a community of learning and best practices
  • Research and Innovation: Stay abreast of current trends, research findings, and innovations in early childhood education, integrating new methodologies and technologies to enhance teaching and learning experience

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is a transformational early childhood education leader and curriculum expert. You are an exceptional builder of productive relationships marked by trust, integrity, and respect.

You should have the following experiences and skillsets:

  • Track record of leading the continual improvement of curriculum, driven by outcomes, state standards, and the latest education trends and innovations
  • Experience creating and implementing best practices for the entire classroom experience
  • Experience creating, implementing, and measuring the impact of training programs in a multi-site environment
  • Possess teaching experience with an ability to collaborate with teachers with a respect for what it is like to be in the trenches
  • Ability to be the internal and external education advocate and expert
