Ideal Candidate
You are a hands-on, commercially minded financial leader who thrives in fast-moving, resource-constrained environments. You bring both strategic perspective and operational depth, and you are comfortable building structure where it doesn’t yet exist. You are as effective working through ambiguity as you are driving discipline, and you are motivated by the opportunity to have a meaningful impact within a mission-driven organization.
You should have the following experiences and skill sets:
Experience in scaled, but lean environments: Proven success operating in small to mid-sized, high-growth organizations where resources are limited and leaders are hands-on
Education or similar sector experience (preferred): Background in education, lead generation, or other marketing-driven industries with similar revenue dynamics
Proven financial leader: Track record of leading finance with full ownership of financial performance in a growing organization
Strong FP&A expertise: Deep experience in forecasting, modeling, and using data to guide decisions in evolving environments
Revenue and funnel-oriented mindset: Experience modeling and managing P&L performance driven by funnel conversion, lead generation, and operational metrics
Private equity experience: Familiar with PE-backed environments, including investor expectations and reporting cadence
Transaction exposure: Experience supporting acquisitions or preparing a company for exit
Commercially minded: Understands how financial decisions impact growth, margins, and enterprise value
Analytically sharp: Able to generate insight and make decisions with imperfect or evolving data
Finance-for-operations mindset: Partners closely with the business to drive performance, not just report results
Hands-on leadership style: Comfortable operating with limited support and actively engaging in the work
Scales with growth: Experience building financial infrastructure, systems, and processes
Collaborative executive presence: Brings a strong point of view and engages as a true peer to leadership
Culturally aligned: Thrives in a mission-driven, performance-oriented organization
