Opportunity

Reporting to the COO, the Vice President of Marketing will drive revenue growth across three growth verticals — Accounting (CPA/CMA), Finance (CFA), and High School (AP/SAT/ACT) — with direct accountability for B2C revenue and shared responsibility for B2B revenue targets. The VP will create and successfully implement B2C and B2B marketing strategies.

Primary responsibilities:

Develop and execute integrated B2C and B2B marketing strategies tailored to distinct audiences across domestic and international markets, balancing performance marketing with brand-building.

Drive revenue and market share expansion in highly competitive environments, particularly in Accounting and Finance, where strong incumbents require differentiated positioning and aggressive customer acquisition.

Build brand awareness and penetration in fragmented markets, especially within the High School vertical, where brand recognition remains low, but growth opportunity is significant.

Lead and develop a distributed marketing organization (U.S. and India), optimizing a 24-hour operating model and ensuring strong collaboration, alignment, and performance across teams.

Assess and elevate team capability, identifying strengths and gaps within a ~40-person team, strengthening performance standards, and driving a high-accountability, results-oriented culture.

Operate as both a hands-on digital marketer and strategic leader, actively guiding SEO/SEM, paid media, social, lifecycle marketing, A/B testing, and conversion optimization initiatives.

Embed a rigorous, data-driven marketing discipline, using analytics, experimentation, and rapid iteration to inform pivots and maximize ROI.

Leverage emerging technologies (including AI) to improve efficiency, targeting, personalization, and campaign performance, ensuring UWorld remains modern and competitive in digital marketing execution.

Strengthen competitive positioning and messaging clarity, ensuring UWorld’s differentiated product quality translates into compelling market narratives that drive trial and adoption.

Collaborate cross-functionally with product, sales, and executive leadership, ensuring alignment between product excellence, marketing strategy, and achieve revene targets.

Champion a culture of simplicity and clarity, aligning marketing messaging with UWorld’s core philosophy: making complex subjects easier to understand.

Be present and highly collaborative in the Dallas office, contributing to a fast-moving, flat organizational culture that values real-time decision-making and close cross-functional partnership.

Ideal Candidate

You are a marketing leader who has operated successfully in complex environments and understands how to translate long-term impact into market clarity. The strongest candidates will bring experience scaling nuanced offerings, building foundational marketing systems, and leading teams through meaningful growth.

You should have the following experiences and skill sets:

Proven record of scaling revenue in competitive digital environments, with clear, measurable growth outcomes in B2C and/or blended B2C/B2B models.

Deep, hands-on expertise in modern performance marketing, including SEO, SEM, organic and paid social, Affiliate,marketing, lifecycle marketing, CRO, and multi-channel attribution — not just oversight, but demonstrated executional fluency.

Experience competing against strong incumbent brands, with a track record of successfully repositioning, differentiating, or gaining share in mature markets.

Demonstrated ability to build brand presence in fragmented or low-awareness markets, balancing short-term performance goals with longer-term brand equity development.

International marketing experience, ideally including exposure to EMEA and/or APAC audiences, with understanding of localization, channel variation, and regional buying behaviors.

Leadership experience managing multi-layered, distributed teams, including cross-border or offshore teams, with evidence of driving alignment, accountability, and performance improvement.

Track record of elevating team capability, including upgrading talent, strengthening performance expectations, and developing high-output marketing organizations.

Strong financial acumen, with experience managing meaningful marketing budgets and tying spend directly to revenue impact and ROI.

Experience leveraging marketing technology and AI tools to improve effectiveness and efficiency, including CRM systems, marketing automation, experimentation frameworks, and analytics platforms.

Comfort operating in a fast-moving, privately held environment, where decisions are data-driven, resources are available when justified, and leaders are expected to move quickly and own outcomes.

Demonstrated intellectual curiosity and learning agility, particularly in complex subject-matter domains where credibility with sophisticated end users matters.

History of longevity and upward progression, signaling both commitment and the ability to grow within an organization.
