Opportunity
Reporting to the CEO, the Head of Marketing will own and lead the company-wide marketing strategy across both B2C (individual educators) and B2B (schools, districts, states), ensuring distinct but aligned approaches for each audience. The HoM will deliver immediate impact during active sales cycles while building the foundation for sustainable growth over the next 3–10 years.
Build brand awareness and market leadership for Conscious Discipline, clearly positioning the organization as the leader in self-regulation, culture, and transformational learning environments.
Design and scale a demand generation engine that supports institutional growth, including long-cycle, multi-stakeholder buying processes at district and state levels.
Clarify and evolve messaging for complex, consultative offerings, helping prospective partners understand implementation, impact, and outcomes—not just products or events.
Lead and develop the marketing organization, by coaching and mentoring an existing team of full-time and contract marketers, create repeatable, scalable strategies for all marketing activities, and establish clarity around priorities, roles, and decision-making
Drive go-to-market planning and execution, including audience segmentation, content strategy, channel mix, and campaign orchestration for both educator-led and institutional motions.
valuate, select, and optimize marketing systems and tools, improving the use of data, platforms, and analytics to guide decisions and measure impact.
Partner closely with Sales and certified instructors to ensure marketing enables effective conversations, evangelism, and pipeline creation across markets.
Shape and protect the Conscious Discipline brand, ensuring consistency, credibility, and emotional resonance across all touchpoints.
Contribute as a senior leader beyond Marketing, helping influence organizational culture, internal clarity, and cross-functional alignment during a period of scale and transformation.
Balance short-term execution with long-term vision, delivering immediate impact during active sales cycles while building the foundation for sustainable growth over the next 3–10 years.
Ideal Candidate
You are a marketing leader who has operated successfully in complex environments and understands how to translate long-term impact into market clarity. The strongest candidates will bring experience scaling nuanced offerings, building foundational marketing systems, and leading teams through meaningful growth and change.
You should have the following experiences and skill sets:
Demonstrated expertise leading both B2C and B2B marketing motions, with the ability to tailor strategy, messaging, and channels for individual buyers and institutional decision-makers while maintaining a coherent, unified brand
Track record of building marketing capability during a scale phase, including moving an organization from organic growth to intentional, system-driven execution
Hands-on experience establishing marketing infrastructure, such as CRM/marketing automation, analytics, content systems, and campaign frameworks in under-instrumented environments
Proven ability to lead and mature existing teams, especially teams that are mission-aligned and hardworking but lack consistent structure, prioritization, or operating rhythm
Experience partnering closely with Sales and field-facing stakeholders, enabling long-cycle conversations rather than simply generating volume-based leads
Comfort working with evangelist-led growth models, including practitioners, instructors, or consultants who influence buying decisions but are not formal sellers
Data-informed mindset without over-reliance on dashboards, capable of using imperfect data to guide decisions while building toward stronger measurement over time
Organizational leadership maturity, with prior experience contributing at the executive level beyond functional marketing—helping shape culture, clarity, and alignment during change
Authentic alignment with mission-driven work, demonstrated by career choices that reflect commitment to purpose, impact, and long-term outcomes over short-term wins
