Opportunity

Reporting to the CEO, the Head of Growth is responsible for developing and implementing a revenue growth strategy, with a particular emphasis on expanding reach into state departments of corrections and fostering essential government relationships to drive sustainable growth.

Primary responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and drive a cohesive go to market strategy with a focus on expanding reach into state departments of corrections
  • Educate potential customers on Orijin’s unique value proposition, and coach sales team to deliver that message effectively
  • Monitor and measure the strategies and processes across the revenue cycle from customer acquisition to engagement, renewal, expansion, and pricing to create targetable and sustainable growth
  • Utilize data analytics, and market analysis to inform strategy, improve operational efficiency, and make decisions regarding targeting and forecasting
  • Recruit, train, coach, and retain high-performing talent within revenue-generating departments, fostering a culture of success and continuous improvement
  • Drive accountability within the company by developing appropriate metrics and coordinating goals, resources, and comp plans accordingly

Ideal Candidate

You are a proven revenue-generating leader with a successful track record in implementing the Challenger method.  You coach and empower your team to expand impact by nurturing relationships and connecting customers’ needs to the solutions that Orijin can provide.

You should have the following experiences and skill sets:

  • State Agency Sales at Scale: Demonstrated track record of success in acquiring new and expansion state agency contracts (e.g., state departments of education, labor, corrections, public safety/works, health) for software and technology services, leading the sales motion, government relations, and procurement processes. Understands how to coordinate the sales activities within the state agency and navigate the opportunity and budgeting process with gubernatorial and legislative branches
  • Driver of Growth and Revenue Retention: Successfully achieved annual bookings targets for new revenue of at least $10mm and overall recurring revenue of $40mm+. Track record of achieving year over year growth targets.
  • Created, managed, improved, and scaled company’s go-to-market motion: Expert in strategic planning, targeting, pipeline building, sales forecasting, creating replicable sales playbooks, leading sales training, and modeling sales methodology/behavior. Has clearly articulated sales methodology (preference for Challenger Model) and has built organizational capacity, across departments, to execute, support, and scale that methodology.
  • Talent leadership: Track record of hiring great talent in all types of roles, developing high performers, and creating very strong/cohesive/collaborative team culture. Has trained, coached, developed KPIs, and held teams accountable to achieving a high bar of excellence.
  • Executive leadership: Thought partner to CEO, transparent and collaborative with the executive team and across all departments, strategic thinker who can maximize our market impact and growth, identify market adjacencies and new opportunities for growth; very compelling with internal and external stakeholders
