The Opportunity
Reporting directly to the CEO the Chief Financial Officer will have full responsibility for the Finance Department and drive impact of the finance role across the organization. This role will also own the supply chain function and enterprise technology. As a member of the Executive Leadership team, you will support the development of a culture of accountability, respect, and results.
Specifically, this individual will:
- Serve as a strategic partner and financial advisor on the Executive Leadership Team as the organization drives to growth goals
- Implement a financial infrastructure, including management and reporting systems
- Assess, recruit, and develop a high-performing team
- Guide the organization in making M&A decisions that enhance the differentiating capabilities of the new company
- Support investor and board relations, including preparing presentations and updates, as well as help shape the internal and external financial narrative and strategy
Ideal Candidate
You are a seasoned financial executive who drives change, influences business strategy, and develops high performing teams. You have been a close and trusted partner to CEOs in companies growing towards $100M and beyond.
You should have the following background:
- Success in leading a variety of finance disciplines, in a high growth, for profit, PE-backed environment
- Experience implementing the infrastructure and systems that supports the finance function, such as an ERP
- History of attracting, developing, and retaining top finance talent and effectively leading and scaling teams
- Ability to effectively communicate the financial status and goals of the organization to employees at large
- Experience in evaluating and transacting M&A activity
- Experience transacting leveraged buy outs
